Join the Parkwood United Methodist Men as we visit the American Armored Foundation Tank and Ordinance War Memorial Museum in Danville, VA on Saturday, September 30th. The AAF Tank Museum’s purpose is to educate the general public as to the sacrifices made by so many military men and women.
We plan on being at the museum when it opens at 10 am. After touring the museum, we will have lunch at a place to be determined. Please feel free to invite friends or anyone you think will be interested! Please contact Philip White if you are interested in going.

The Parkwood UMM are sponsoring a trip to the Bulls Game on Thursday May 18 game time at 7:05pm. Please contact Frank Stephans ASAP if you are interested in attending. If we can get a group of 20 or more, we can get a group discount. This is open to everyone and a great outreach opportunity to invite a friend who does not attend PUMC to experience the fellowship of PUMC. If you are interested in carpooling to the game, a carpool will leave the parking lot across from church by 5:30pm. Gates to the ball park open at 6 pm.
The Parkwood UMM are inviting you to join them visit to the Ansel Adams Photography & Glory of Venice paintings expositions at the NC Museum of Art on Monday April 24. All are welcome to come and the admission is free, it is normally $18 per person. If you want to car pool to the Museum, please plan to meet at the PUMC parking lot at 5:30pm. FYI, The Museum is normally closed on Mondays but these exhibitions will be open from 12 pm to 8 pm, so if you want to go earlier in the day for free, you can. The Great United Methodist Men Buzzards Breath Chili and the Great Chili cookoff is Sunday, January 29th following worship
Bring your competition Chili and enjoy a fine bowl of UMM chili. Competition chili means you bring your chili in a crock pot and the attendees will judge them by donating money to the competition chili they like the best. The winner is crowned Chile Person of the Year.
