Thank you for your support for the Spring Fling at Parkwood! Turnout was good and our neighbors had a great time!
Parkwood United Methodist Church is hosting “Spring Fling” Saturday, May 6th from 10 am – Noon. We will have a bounce house, face painting, games, and hot dogs.
Join us for a Poke Walk at the Streets of Southpoint., Sunday Aug. 28th, starting at 5:30 pm.
Meet at the fountain in front of Southpoint Cinema. Bring money for dinner at the food court. Pick up at 7:30 pm at the fountain.
September 13: Casseroles for Urban Ministries 5-7 pm
September 20: Drive up Prayer 5-7 pm
September 27: Meeting at church 5-7 pm
October 4: Dinner with firefighters 5-7 pm
October 9-10: Lock in
October 18: Flowers to nursing home after church
October 24: Trunk or Treat
November 1: Movie night at church 5-7 pm
November 8: Trash pick up after church

Donations help fund youth projects
The PUMC Youth have lots in store for our wonderful congregation this fall.
Starting with the T-Shirt fundraiser. Thank you to all of you who purchased T-shirts. These orders will be in soon. We are thrilled that our Youth will be able to represent our Church in a new and stylish way.
The Youth will also be joining the Boy Scouts with the Halloween Hoot & Trunk or Treat. We will be decorating up to 5 trunks! We are hoping to have a special appearance again from our favorite Ghost Buster (Pastor Nathan)!
The youth has many additional things that they will be working on to include the possibility of a Live Nativity, the Christmas Parade, Adopt a Child program and helping with Urban Ministries. Those are just to mention a few. We will be putting up a sign up sheet for meals again.
The youth meet every other Sunday from 5 -7 pm and we have 10 mouths to feed. If you feel like coming and joining us and want to provide a meal and see what the Youth do please feel free to sign up. ( the youth love Pizza & Bojangles and nothing beats a home cooked meal!)
There will also be a sign up sheet for the Trunk or Treat if you want the youth to decorate your trunk! You can also donate candy. There will be a box available for this.
I and the Youth want to Thank EVERYONE for all the support you have given. It is a blessing to watch these youth grow within our church and to have the support from so many members of our church family. Thank You Thank You!!
