Celebrate the 4th of July in Parkwood!

Parkwood’s annual Independence Day Celebration and Grand Bike Parade will take place on Wednesday, July 4th, from 9:00 am to noon.

Thanks to the leadership of the Parkwood United Methodist Men and a growing list of other community groups, many of the old favorites will be there again: The Moonwalk, Parkwood Volunteer Fire Department’s Snoopy the Fire Dog, and the traditional Bicycle Decoration and Parade. New features include a Dunking Booth, with local celebrities and volunteers taking turns in the dunking seat. There will be field games including volleyball, cornhole, and sack races.

Children can bring their bicycles to the Revere Road Parking lot by 9:30 am to decorate before the 10:30 am parade. Balloons and decorations will be provided. The Grand Bicycle Parade will process through a course in the parking lot.

Parking for this event will be limited, so if you live nearby you may want to walk. Others may be able to find available parking on nearby side streets.
