Join Parkwood UMC and the UMM for a Durham Bulls Game, May 18
The Parkwood UMM are sponsoring a trip to the Bulls Game on Thursday May 18 game time at 7:05pm. Please contact Frank Stephans ASAP if you are interested in attending. If we can get a group of 20 or more, we can get a group discount. This is open to everyone and a great outreach opportunity to invite a friend who does not attend PUMC to experience the fellowship of PUMC. If you are interested in carpooling to the game, a carpool will leave the parking lot across from church by 5:30pm. Gates to the ball park open at 6 pm.

United Methodist Men to attend Ansel Adams Expo
The Parkwood UMM are inviting you to join them visit to the Ansel Adams Photography & Glory of Venice paintings expositions at the NC Museum of Art on Monday April 24. All are welcome to come and the admission is free, it is normally $18 per person. If you want to car pool to the Museum, please plan to meet at the PUMC parking lot at 5:30pm. FYI, The Museum is normally closed on Mondays but these exhibitions will be open from 12 pm to 8 pm, so if you want to go earlier in the day for free, you can. Serve Breakfast at Urban Ministries, May 27th
Volunteers are needed serve breakfast at Urban Ministries. Sign up sheet available in the church hallway.
Volunteer with the Summer Food Program
Parkwood UMC will be the site for the summer food program formerly at Emerald Forest. This is part of our connection with Parkwood Elementary School. The program runs from June 27-August 3. We need volunteers to distribute the food for breakfast (9-10 am) and lunch (12-1 pm) on Mon.-Thur. each of those weeks. This is an opportunity for you to serve the children of our community and does not require a huge commitment of time. Sign up sheets are available in the church hallway.Please join us making sure these children do not go hungry during the summer months.
