Opportunities to Serve Our Neighbors – July 2017

Volunteer in the Food Pantry & Clothes Closet at Urban Ministries, July 20th

Spend your morning helping others. Volunteer with other Parkwood UMC folks serving at Urban Ministries.

Serve Breakfast at Urban Ministries, July 22nd

Volunteers are needed serve breakfast at Urban Ministries. Sign up sheet available in the church hallway.

Bring in Eggs for Urban Ministries, July 23rd

Our next Egg Collection Day is July 23rd. Bring eggs and put them in the refrigerator. They will be delivered to Urban Ministries.

Volunteer with the Summer Food Program, June 27th – August 3rd

Parkwood UMC will be the site for the summer food program formerly at Emerald Forest.  This is part of our connection with Parkwood Elementary School.  The program runs from June 27-August 3.  We need volunteers to distribute the food for breakfast (9-10 am) and lunch (12-1 pm) on Mon.-Thur. each of those weeks.  This is an opportunity for you to serve the children of our community and does not require a huge commitment of time. Sign up sheets are available in the church hallway.Please join us making sure these children do not go hungry during the summer months.
