Neighbors Feeding Neighbors with Durham CROP Hunger Walk

Celebrate World Food Day, October 16th, by dining at a Neighbors Feeding Neighbors Partner Restaurant. Participating restaurants have agreed to donate 10% of their proceeds from the day to the Durham CROP Hunger Walk. Enjoy a great meal and fight hunger at the same time!

Fundraiser for Parktown Food Hub at City Barbeque

The Parktown Food Hub is holding a fundraiser on Thursday, October 3 at City BBQ on Highway 54. Print a flyer, show it to the cashier, and the food hub will get 25% of your purchase price. It’s delicious, and in feeding yourself and your family and friends you are also helping to feed your neighbors.

That same evening the Parktown Food Hub will be hosting Charisa Knight, an energetic and delightful speaker who will be talking about how the community she felt as a child (including interaction with a food pantry) led her to where she is today, leading a nonprofit that supports an orphanage in Ethiopia. The world is her neighborhood and she is well-versed in being neighbors all over the world! Charisa’s talk will be at 7 pm in the PUMC sanctuary, so go eat some good barbecue and then head over to the church for a good time!
