First Sunday of Advent – November 28, 2021

Close to Home – Advent at Parkwood United Methodist Church.

It’s about when things happen to us close to home, we feel them and experience them deeply. Advent is about waiting and preparing ourselves for a God who comes very close to home, wanting to come into our homes and into our hearts, which is good news for everyone.

Worship with Parkwood United Methodist Church, Sunday November 28 at 11:00 am. We will gather in person in our sanctuary. We are continuing to wear masks and practice social distancing.

We hope you can join us for in person worship but if you are unable to do so, please consider tuning into our livestream. It will be available here as well as on our Facebook page.

Advent with Parkwood United Methodist Church

This year, Parkwood United Methodist Church is hosting in-person and virtual live-streamed Advent services around the theme “Close to Home.” When something hits “close to home,” it affects us deeply, and Christians believe at Christmas, God comes close to home.

We invite you to join us for our Advent Sunday services at 11 AM, starting Sunday, November 28th. Our Christmas Eve service will be at 7 PM on December 24th, and it will be a collaborative service with Peace Covenant Church and Southern Durham Connections.

Gather with us in person at 5123 Revere Rd., Durham, NC 27713 or you may join us virtually here on our website or our Facebook page.

All are truly welcome at Parkwood UMC.
