Small Group Opportunity – “The Bible Year” Discussion Group

Zoom Group Discussions on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM
(please email Pastor Adam for Zoom info: adam.benson@nccumc.org)

Bring a journal reflection, thought or question as you join in discussion with the group.

A pattern for our time together: leader opens with prayer, asks group to share opening reflection, journal writing, or question; group leader asks questions from leader guide; 10 minutes of silent journaling (mics and cameras off); 5-10 minutes of sharing what touched you or what you journaled about during the quiet time; close the meeting. Meetings should last about 45 minutes.

Parkwood UMC is reading through the whole Bible together in 2025.

Margrey Devega’s “The Bible Year: A Journey through Scripture in 365 Days” study gives us summaries of key themes and ideas to help us better digest and understand the readings. So, we’re not just reading verse after verse. We’re enriching our spiritual lives, developing a deeper faith and forming a closer connection to God and to each other. Our worship services and sermons in 2025 will be focused around the weekly Bible readings we’ll be doing together.

This small group opportunity on Tuesday evenings will be a time to reflect on the weekly readings together, grow closer to God, while providing a common thread that will promote new and deeper friendships. We hope you will join us!
