You can place your eggs in the refrigerators in the church kitchen or pantry closet throughout the week or bring them with you to worship on Sunday morning.
We are collecting for Urban Ministries Food Pantry with a goal of 75 dozen eggs. Any we can collect beyond that goal will go to Parktown Food Hub.

Our January Egg Collection Sunday was a success!! 94 dozen eggs were collected and then delivered to Urban Ministries of Durham. While this may not have been quite enough to bring out the dancing chicken, we were thrilled to be able to deliver the eggs along with the donations of cereal and peanut butter collected.
Our next Egg Collection Sunday will be in April. Stay tuned for news on goals and when to drop off your donations.
January 23rd is Egg Collection Sunday, unless we cancel for inclement weather. To get Pastor Adam to do a chicken dance, we have to beat our previous personal best of 175 dozen eggs. Good luck!
This year, Parkwood United Methodist Church is hosting in-person and virtual live-streamed Advent services around the theme “Close to Home.” When something hits “close to home,” it affects us deeply, and Christians believe at Christmas, God comes close to home.
We invite you to join us for our Advent Sunday services at 11 AM, starting Sunday, November 28th. Our Christmas Eve service will be at 7 PM on December 24th, and it will be a collaborative service with Peace Covenant Church and Southern Durham Connections.

Sunday, August 22nd was Egg Collection Sunday, and HOLY MOLY! The results were two refrigerators FULL of eggs that went to Urban Ministries of Durham. Thank you to all who participated to make this event a success! (And making our pastor wear a chicken suit)
